Karen Gjerdrum Fothergill
Karen Gjerdrum Fothergill is an associate in Andre, Morris & Buttery's Business and Real Estate Transactions Practice Group, specifically commercial and agricultural property. Karen was born and raised in Santa Maria, California. In 1998, Karen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Studies with a minor in International Economics from Vassar College and in 2005 received her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. While attending Wake Forest, Karen was the Editor of the Wake Forest Moot Court Problem Book and served as a member of the Executive Board of the Moot Court. In September 2005, Karen returned to Santa Maria and worked for a local law firm. Andre, Morris & Buttery welcomed Karen as an associate in October 2007.
Karen is admitted to practice in all of the courts of the State of California and United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Karen is a member of the Northern Santa Barbara County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She also serves as a Board Member for the North County Rape Crisis and Child Protection Center and the Santa Maria Valley Youth and Family Center.
